Requesting Information
A Freedom of Information request is an official written request for information from an organization covered by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) and/or the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) as may apply.
Under FIPPA and PIPEDA, a Freedom of Information (FOI) request must be in writing and must provide sufficient detail to identify the information requested.
Many records of public institutions are available to you without making a FOI request. If you have any questions, contact FOI@igamingontario.ca to determine whether you need to make a formal request.
Please submit a FOI request using iGaming Ontario’s online request portal, hosted by FOI Assist.
Notes:
- A $5.00 fee payable to iGaming Ontario is required to make a FOI request.
- Government organizations that receive FOI requests must respond within 30 calendar days of receipt of the request. However, under some circumstances we may need to extend this timeframe, and in such cases, you will be notified.
- You may be charged for the time required to locate and prepare records containing the information you request. You will be advised directly if additional charges may apply to your request.
- If you prefer to submit your FOI request via direct mail, download the FOI request form (PDF), then complete and mail your request and cheque payment to:
